Dan's music builds from an ever-evolving and diverse range of musical influences, drawing inspiration from his Texas roots to his years growing up in Osaka, Japan. It was during his time at NYU that he discovered the power of combining visual storytelling with his eclectic musical palette and love of composing. Dan began his career writing music for commercials in New York City, lending his talents to prominent brands such as AT&T, BMW, Budweiser, and McDonald's.

His desire to explore the world of film and television led Dan to make the leap to Los Angeles where he had the extraordinary opportunity to learn from some of the industry's finest composers. While assisting Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water, Grand Budapest Hotel, Argo, Zero Dark Thirty) and Javier Navarrete (Pan's Labyrinth, Wrath of the Titans, Hemingway and Gellhorn) among others, Dan was able to enrich his craft and expand his creative horizons.

In addition to an eight season run scoring the fan-favorite, BROOKLYN NINE-NINE, Dan’s recent music includes the score for PRIMO, an incredibly authentic and sweet comedy on Amazon Freevee from Mike Schur and Shea Serrano and FLIPPED, a hilarious crime comedy available on Roku starring Will Forte, Kaitlin Olsen and Andy Garcia.
